BESPOKE COMMISSIONS
From one-of-a-kind engagement rings, to remodelled heirloom jewellery to 'I just want to treat myself' pieces, I welcome bespoke commissions. Here is a little low down on how the process works...
IDEA
I invite you to contact me via email, social media platforms or telephone to discuss your jewellery needs or arrange an appointment in my Cornish Studio.
I recommend that you initially browse through images of my work on this website, Instagram and Facebook pages to get a feel for what style of jewellery I can achieve.
PRICING
If I am able to design a piece to your specifications I will provide you with a quote and, if necessary, sketches free of charge. Do let me know if you have a budget in your initial enquiry so I only suggest ideas within a price bracket you are comfortable with.
TIMESCALE
Bespoke work may take as little as a couple of days to as long as a couple of months depending on when the item is ordered and how complex the idea/process. I complete most bespoke commissions within 1 - 4 weeks. If you require your item for a particular date, please inform me of this and I will do all I can to meet your needs.
REMODELLING
Perhaps you have some old sentimental jewellery that you would like to have remodelled? Don't leave precious gemstones and metal to gather dust, make them into something to be cherished again!
PAYMENTS
I normally ask for a 50% deposit on commissions. Once received, I will begin making the item. The 50% balance will be requested once the item is ready for delivery.
Payments can be made via PayPal by visiting www.paypal.me/jasminebowdenuk
Or via Bank Transfer to:
Miss Jasmine M Bowden, Account Number: 10 64 12 67, Sort Code: 11 02 99, Bank: Halifax
Alternatively you can visit me in my Cornish studio to make the payment directly via cash or card.
Please note: that whilst I can take inspiration from images you provide, I do not copy work from other designers.
CONFIRMING YOUR SIZE

PRECIOUS METALS
I can work in a variety of different precious metals. They all vary in price, colour, weight and hardness to suit a range of budgets, styles and lifestyles. If you would like some guidance on what metal to choose you may find some helpful thoughts on one of my blog posts (about what metal you should choose for your wedding ring)… CLICK HERE to read more.
The image below demonstrates what precious metals I can work with and how they vary in colour. I have edited the images to represent the hue of the various metals as best I can.
A lot of white gold in the jewellery market is plated with rhodium. Although this does make the white gold look brighter and whiter initially it eventually wears off. To avoid this I use natural un-plated white gold which I believe is beautiful without the plating.
WEDDING BANDS
If you are looking for a bespoke wedding ring then you are in the right place. I can work with any of the metals above to create a wedding band to be cherished for a lifetime.
I can make a simple, classic wedding ring (there are a variety of styles, widths and finishes to choose from) or work on more alternative designs for something even more unique!
Below shows a selection of silver wedding ring prototypes demonstrating how my round profile rings look in a range of dimensions. This is just one profile style example… there are many more options to choose from!
You can also choose how wide you want your wedding band. Here is a photo showing a few rings (in various styles) in different widths to help you decide what width might be right for you…
CHAINS
I can work using a massive array of chains but here are the ones I use most often with my silver jewellery…
Here is another helpful image if you are unsure what necklace chain length you would like to order…
GEMSTONES
I can source a large selection of semi precious and precious gemstones in various sizes, qualities, shapes, cuts etc. I can also work with customers own stones.
Below is a helpful image to highlight what different sized round gems look like on the finger. I have photoshopped the gemstones to represent as closely as I can their scale in relation to an average sized female hand. Please note that Ct or Carat is a weight measurement. The weights below are estimates based on a typical brilliant cut diamonds in different widths. The carat weight will vary from stone to stone depending on the cut and depth etc of the gem. The image below also shows the gem placed above the band without a setting; once set, the metal surrounding the gem will give it more presence on the finger and make it look bigger. For example in a full rub-over setting the gem may appear approximately 0.5mm bigger. The band used in the examples below is 2mm in width. It is worth considering that slimmer bands can emphasise the size of the gemstone set on it.
